We are delighted to share that Mr. Shailesh Dhuri, our Chief Executive Officer, has been appointed as a member of the prestigious National Committee established by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to oversee the implementation of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.
The DPDP Act marks a significant advancement in India’s data governance framework. It aims to ensure that personal data is processed in a secure, transparent, and accountable manner—balancing individual rights with the needs of innovation and digital progress.
About the Committee
The committee is chaired by Dr Rajendra Kumar (Additional Secretary, MeitY) and comprises senior representatives from government, industry, legal, and technology domains. Its remit includes advising on strategy, driving awareness, assessing readiness, and supporting capacity-building initiatives across the public sector to ensure robust and timely compliance with the Act.
