Standardized KPI Monitoring for Supply Chain Visibility

Standardized KPI Monitoring for Supply Chain Visibility
A leading global tyre manufacturing enterprise needed to strengthen visibility across its supply chain operations by unifying fragmented KPI reporting across planning, inventory, supply, cost, and service functions.
The organization’s leadership required a standardized and secure performance monitoring framework that could support Annual Operating Plan (AOP) versus actual comparisons, improve regional decision-making, and provide a reliable view of operational performance across business units.
The client’s supply chain reporting ecosystem lacked consistency, accessibility, and governance across key performance indicators.
KPI measurement varied across historical and year-to-date reporting periods, making it difficult for leadership teams to trust performance comparisons. AOP targets and actual results were not easy to analyze together, delaying the identification of gaps across planning, inventory, supply, cost, and service metrics.
Regional stakeholders also lacked controlled access to relevant insights, creating challenges in balancing transparency with data governance. For CXO teams, the issue was not only reporting efficiency. It was the ability to make timely, accurate, and consistent decisions across a complex global supply chain.
Decimal Point Analytics designed and implemented a Power BI scorecard dashboard to create a unified KPI monitoring framework for supply chain performance.
The solution integrated 17 KPIs across five operational domains, bringing Snowflake actuals and AOP data into a consolidated reporting model. This enabled stakeholders to compare planned performance against actual outcomes through a standardized and reliable dashboard environment.
To strengthen governance, Row-Level Security was implemented, allowing region-specific access while maintaining enterprise-wide control. The dashboard was also embedded into PowerPoint, enabling executive teams to access interactive insights within a familiar reporting format.
The engagement delivered a unified supply chain performance view across critical operational domains.
Leadership teams gained a standardized mechanism to track KPIs, compare AOP targets with actual results, and identify performance gaps more efficiently. Regional stakeholders were equipped with governed self-service analytics, enabling faster drill-downs across index codes and channels without compromising data security.
The solution strengthened reporting consistency, improved operational visibility, and helped decision-makers act with greater confidence across the supply chain.
For global manufacturing enterprises, fragmented KPI reporting can limit performance visibility and delay critical supply chain decisions. A standardized KPI monitoring framework enables leadership teams to move from disconnected reporting to governed, enterprise-wide performance intelligence.
