Decimal Point Analytics participated in IPPTA Zonal Seminar I 2026, one of India's premier technical forums for the pulp and paper industry, organized by the Indian Pulp & Paper Technical Association (IPPTA). Bringing together paper manufacturers, technologists, researchers, equipment providers, and industry experts from across India and abroad, the seminar served as a platform for exchanging ideas on digital transformation, sustainability, operational excellence, and emerging technologies shaping the future of the sector.

Representing Decimal Point Analytics, Ajay Jindal, EVP, presented the technical paper, "From Reactive Control to Autonomous Operations: Applying AI, Machine Learning and Digital Twins for Predictive Maintenance, Quality Stabilisation and Process Simulation in Paper Manufacturing." The paper introduced a practical AI-driven framework that leverages Process Digital Twins, Product Clones, and the proprietary CrossRank AI engine to transform paper manufacturing operations from reactive process control to intelligent, predictive process steering.
Drawing on documented industrial deployments, the presentation demonstrated how AI-powered process intelligence can significantly reduce paper breaks, improve throughput, stabilize product quality, optimize energy consumption, and enable data-driven operational decisions. It also highlighted the framework's relevance for Indian paper mills, where variable raw materials and evolving sustainability mandates demand smarter, more adaptive manufacturing practices.
